I Propose to Confess

For this project I am torn between whether I should do something more serious or just funny. I would rather do something funny but I do not believe anything that I could confess is particularly comical. I cannot remember whether Kip said we could fabricate our confessions or not....Anywho, these are my proposals thus far:

1. My first confession has to do with my somewhat estranged family relationships, this one in particular would have to do with my mom whom I do not really speak to and have only seen once in the last year and a half. I thought about cutting out the faces of the mother figure in various family portraits and making a collage. I could either leave the face an empty hole or fill it up with something either symbolic or not. I am not sure whether I should use pictures of my own too (because as of now I do not have any with me). Also, if I do decide to fill the face in then I do not know what I would do it with.

2. A confession more on the humorous side could deal with my fear of popping balloons. I could create a situation in which any way I moved I would possibly cause a balloon to pop. It could be some sort of maze maybe where I have gloves with needles on them and I'm playing that game where you don't want the balloon to hit the floor. I like this idea becaus eit could be interactive. I do not like this idea at the same time however, because I would have to face my fear. Performance art is always a good way to go, and it seems like the class would enjoy it.

3. This last confession has to do with my constant struggle and fear of never having enough money. I like the relevance and universality that this confession could bring because we are all struggling college students in this class. For this confession I was thinking a little about scales. And something where taking money or in this case whatever I am spending money on causes a heavier weight on me. Kind of like how my bank account goes down, my stress increases. I would have to make the weights into symbols, with some weighing more than others in terms of how I feel about spending money on certain things.

I am still undecided on what to do my project on. So far I know that i want it to be interactive. Hopefully I'll figure it all out soon or else I'll be confessing that I don't have a project ;)
