Discovering UCSB
Ello there mates! My name is Natalie and I have just landed from the beautiful land of Australia to uncover the hidden wonders here at UCSB. I am all set to go for what adventures may lie ahead of me. I was inspired by the natural land of my hometown and I heard UCSB may share many similar topographical qualities. I have been to "campus" already and seen many interesting lifestyles. Some things I noticed right from the start were the various modes of transportation people have available here. They can get from place to place while sitting down. Somehow they still move forward! I mostly watch the students from afar so as not to scare them away. I take cover in the many trees and brush surrounding the campus. Tomorrow, I plan on joining the locals in any typical activities that they partake in. I want to observe them in their natural habitat but I also think that it is important that I learn as much about their culture as I can as well. So far, some creatures have been shy to share their lifestyles so I think that I must be even more discreet. I am excited to apply my research here to my other studies in Australia. I come with an open mind!
