Flash Mobs

We did some research on flash mobs in class yesterday and I think that we finally decided on an idea. Jonathan mentioned an idea that he had seen on a supposedly banned xbox commercial.

Basically we want to have a stand-off in the Ucen, because it has multiple levels inside or maybe by the bike loop. Our other option was having a slow motion ninja fight but I think that the subtleness (at least at first) of this plan would work perfectly. It reminded me of the same situation on the tv show "The Office"

I think that this resembles the ideals that are set forth in performing a flash-mob. They are meant to be extremely outrageous and random actions made to get immediate reactions from observers. In contrast to this definition, anyone performing a flash-mob knows that they are well-thought out and organized in order to be most affective. I think that this idea would be affective because it is not immediately in-your-face. I think it will be interesting to let the tension build and see if we possibly gain any other participants. In the end we will all fall to the ground, then leave the building. I am very excited to see people's reactions.
