Superhero

If I could be any superhero I would choose to be Dexter from my one of my favorite cartoon shows, Dexter's Lab. Okay, the average person may not consider him the ideal superhero but I do. He accent is insane fro the first part. I have no idea where he is from but I always try to imitate him. It sounds like he may have been born in Russia. I like the idea that he is the typical "science nerd" who just happens to be a boy genius (my second choice would probably have been Jimmy Neutron). I envy his ability to understand science and math so easily. He always has to save the world, which he does so, despite the annoyances he encounters in dealing with his sister Dee Dee.
Similar to many superheroes, I like the idea of a having a double life. It allows them to do such outrageous things anonymously, which makes them seem more altruistic. in his normal life, Dexter is just a regular adolescent boy who is often ignored by his parents and fellow classmates. Dexter's other life seems much more enjoyable than this. I always joke that I want an "arch-nemesis" because sometimes it is fun to have a continuous competition going. Dexter has this in the form of his school-rival Mandark. Thinking about it, at times Dexter did not really solve any problems. I guess that is the way of cartoons though. The ending was not always resolved. I like that aspect to because it is not the typical hero story. For the most part, I think Dexter is hilarious. I would very much enjoy taking on his persona as my alter-ego.
