So as I assumed, I did end up changing my project for my alternate persona. On Saturday, I visited the San Diego Zoo. My boyfriend and I kept laughing at all of the comments people were saying when describing the animals such as "how majestic" and the general shock and awe at the citing of anything "natural." I do love the zoo and all of the animals within it, but I just find the whole concept so odd. While we were there, we both thought of how funny it would be if people talked this way about humans as well.
That's when i got the idea of being somewhat of a "Crocodile hunter-esque" character that is visiting and observing the students at UCSB. Luckily I was able to execute this project because his parents happen to have safari looking attire. I decided that i would use the map of the campus to take the place of the one that i had gotten from the zoo. The persona was made complete with the proper hat, jacket, and of course binoculars.
I am happy with this change in project (besides someone did OCD for their persona already). This way, I get to dress up, which I wanted to do, and add a little more humor into things. I am glad that this will be more interactive as well which is what I aim for in all of my art projects.
