School school school!

This quarter I am only taking 13 units (mostly because I did not get the classes I was trying to crash) but so far it has been pretty decent. In addition to Art 7A I am taking two English classes; one focuses on women in literature and the other on Southern California. They are both pretty good classes but unfortunately the lectures are not as exciting as Kip's. Both classes require a lot of reading (which I am currently catching up on), and writing essays, which is to be expected from any English course. Although we discuss interesting topics and read books like The Grapes of Wrath, which I enjoy very much, I hope that next quarter I will have the chance to find English classes that better fit my interests. I took a Shakespeare class last quarter that I really liked. I feel it is difficult to lecture about English and with most professors it's hit or miss. The times where it gets boring is when there is too much plot summarizing. I've had professors that do not use any visuals whatsoever and just read from their typed lecture notes. This makes it extremely hard for me to pay attention. Next quarter I plan on finishing up my English minor. I have about 8 units left. This way, I will be able to focus only on art for my remaining college years. I plan on taking Art 7B and hopefully L/D Drawing or Print.
