The red carpet was rolled out for the stars James Franco, Natalie Portman, and Danny McBride for the premiere of 'Your Highness' held on April 1st, 2011 in Pollack Theater. The real action however, was not only limited to the movie screening. As more and more students infiltrated Storke Plaza, tensions began to rise. McBride previously "joked" about arriving on horseback, so everyone was in uproar when he actually did.
With James Franco by his side, the two stampeded into the crowd knocking over the decorations and small children along the way. Natalie Portman, who was not expected to appear at the event, arrived right on time. Unfortunately, some people might have preferred if she had stayed home. About ten minutes in to the celebration, Portman unexpectedly went into labor.
Luckily numerous professors whom we refer to as "doctor" were present. However after this incident, I and everyone else realized to our surprise that none of them have never delivered a baby! Out from the crowd and to the rescue came an anonymous Panda Express worker from the Ucen, who apparently is a learned doctor. Portman delivered quadruplets on the spot while the crowd observed in disgust and Franco continued to answer questions.
The babies rested on top of McBride's horse for the duration of the celebration. As the night wound down, Franco, McBride, Portman, and the new born quadruplets (which she named U, C, S, and B) made good on their promise to party with Isla Vista Residents. In fact, I spotted them dancing on the streets of Del Playa later that night.
It all came to an end with police finding Franco and McBride asleep on the beach (in anticipation to start Floatopia early) and Portman running of with the mystery Panda Express worker. All and all it was a pretty successful premiere and nothing new for the partiers of UCSB.
